The Italian ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a army policeman travelling with him have been killed in an assault on a United Nations convoy in japanese DRC, the Italian overseas ministry stated in a press release.
The convoy was attacked on Monday close to the city of Kanyamahoro at roughly 10:15am (08:15 GMT) as a part of a kidnap try, the Virunga Nationwide Park informed Reuters.
